Well, one thought comes to mind-"only one song?". Okay, things are minimal for now. But since things are coming together a little, as of late, for the project, I thought I should post something regarding the music. Since The Burning Ground will be released (via the Project O sampler) before any of the other tracks then here's the lyrics to at least that one (above).
The idea that inspired this track is the idea of entropy. In our universe, the law of entropy plays out by making sure EVERYTHING fails, corrupts, corrodes, gets dirty, breaks and generally falls into chaos. The idea is going from order to disorder. Take a look around in your room. See what I mean?
Well, humanity has had a chance, in our mere existence, to come against entropy a little bit. We create, build, repair and keep things in working order and good condition. But the best we can do is never good enough. Things will always need repair or maintenance. We have to do it again. And again...
I've thought it interesting (to the "nth" degree) that humanity's state from within is an exact representation of entropy in our universe. Just as things in our world may seem to work well for the time being, there is always the knowledge that something is always wrong somewhere. In other words, we are not perfect.
This little revelation leads to the question-what's wrong anyway? Humanity may seem to "work" or "be okay" in certain times and certain places. But what is wrong with us? We are a morally bent and corrupt race. There is a reason for this.
Nice, huh? Well, it may not be a nugget of joy, but it's true. And I thought it was a cool idea for a song. Buh-bye.
